Director Message
UOS First Research Arena 2024 is an initiative by ORIC-UOS
that emphasizes our commitment to achieve research excellence. It is realized through
the implementation of a robust research ecosystem at University of Sargodha. Our
approach – cutting-edge research, innovation in products and services, and the research
outcomes as profit to the community – is the trifecta of brilliance.
The event
where the ideas ignite is a tribute to the vision
of Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbass (Vice-Chancellor), managed by the Office of Research,
Innovation and Commercialization. The prime objective of this event is the
transformation of knowledge into impact. The arena is staged for
connecting minds to ignite ideas. Every idea is taking its root in the land of arena
abundant by UNs’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and trying to find tomorrow’s
solutions today.
Research Arena serves as a
platform to foster collaboration among interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary ideas,
culminating in applied research. The University of Sargodha has built a reputation as a
model of excellence and achievement, consistently
nurturing visionaries, inventors, and agents of social transformation throughout its
journey. We cordially invite you to actively participate in our thriving research

Features and Significance of UOS Annual Arena 2024
“First UOS Annual Research Arena 2024” is a prominent initiative driven by UOS-ORIC, highlighting our firm dedication to research excellence and pioneering innovation. In this event, ideas are bridging the research with various indicators of United Nation’s SDGs. In the arena, University of Sargodha will be cover dynamic research activities (38) being conducted by eight vibrant faculties, Sargodha Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Sargodha Chamber of Small Traders & Small Industry, and Sargodha Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry. These activities will turn vision into value.

(Director ORIC) the dynamic team at the Office of Research Innovation
and Commercialization (ORIC) at the University of Sargodha.
Where Ideas Ignite is the core theme of Arena 2024 that encapsulates the
essence of recognizing and valuing the multifaceted research and knowledge-generation
endeavors both within our academic institution and
in the broader scholarly and societal domains. UOS Arena 2024 is our collective endeavor to
nurture a culture of cooperation, ingenuity, and the exchange of knowledge. It extends an
open invitation to all, inviting active participation
in the festivities that celebrate discovery, learning, and the relentless pursuit of
excellence that characterizes the University of Sargodha.
Objectives of First UOS Annual Research Arena 2024
The “First UOS Annual Research Arena 2024”, is fostering a dynamic research culture and contributing in the academic excel of the University. The establishment of an active research eco-system in the University is the prime objective – achieved by the following:
- 1. Development of robust research culture to encourage research community of the University
- 2. Multidisciplinary collaboration to exchange of knowledge among stakeholder
- 3. Connecting minds to ignite ideas
- 4. Strong cooperation between the industrial and academic sectors while enhancing skills
- 5. Creative thinking, problem-solving, and innovative solutions for contemporary challenges
